The Founders
Meet the two freshmen from Honoka’a High and Intermediate School who began this organization in 2025.
Sophia and Khloe are proud freshmen of a HOSA chapter based in Honoka’a High & Intermediate School. We want to prompt awareness and advocate for mental health and wellness– especially because we live in a small, rural town. For us, we don’t see this just as a small project, we would call it “Kaona”, the Hawaiian phrase for something that goes beyond the surface. We know and understand that we shouldn’t keep our stories hidden as it should be encouraged to speak out and break the stigma. Hence, is why we made “Mind In Honoka’a”
